- What types of cooking classes does Dublin Cookery School offer?
- We run evening classes, full-day workshops, multi-day intensive courses, and cooking camps for teenagers aged 11–17, including Transition Year programmes. All classes are hands-on and take place at our school in Blackrock, Dublin.
- Where is Dublin Cookery School located?
- We're based at 2 Brookfield Terrace, Blackrock, Co. Dublin — right on the coast, a 20-minute DART ride from Pearse Street Station. Blackrock village is worth the trip in itself.
- Are your cooking classes suitable for beginners?
- Most people who come to DCS for the first time have never done anything like this before. That's no problem — our tutors pitch it right. Our courses are open to cooks of all abilities and levels. All recipes are demonstrated in advance before you move into the hands-on kitchen.
- What age are the teen cooking camps for?
- Our Growing Gourmets camps are open to teens aged (Juniors (11-14 ) and Seniors (14-17). Camps run over June, July and August, as well as during the mid-term breaks and Easter holidays. Students cook a delicious and varied menu throughout the course in a kitchen run and supervised by our supportive and fun professional tutors.
- How do I book a cooking class?
- You can book directly through our website — choose a course, pick a date, and you're in. Gift vouchers are also available if you wish to book for someone else.
- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
- Yes. When you book, there's an option to flag dietary requirements and allergies. Get in touch if you want to check a specific class before booking — some formats suit certain dietary needs better than others and one or two courses may not support dietary requirements.
- How do I know which level is right for me?
- All of our classes are designed to work across all levels of cooks — our tutors adjust as they go. If you're unsure, you can email us and we'll talk you through it.
